What do we backup and restore?

Backrightup uses an oAuth-based Azure Devops app to connect into your organization. This is the ONLY way Microsoft will approve interacting with your Azure Devops organization.

Backrightup started by backing up just repositories. Soon it grew and today we backup/restore the following entities for you:

Repos
TFVC Repos
Work items
Build Definitions
Release Definitions
Wikis
Variable Groups
Task groups
Process Templates
Teams/members
Pull requests
Deployment groups
Environments

We do this by asking you for the LEAST permissions we need in order to get this done. Remembering that Backrightup only reads data for backup and restoring, NEVER overwrites data, only creates new items. Existing data can NEVER be deleted or LOST.
