How to setup Okta as an Identity provider

Introduction


Backrightup allows you to use your own Okta instance as an identity provider for Backrightup. The first step is to notify support (support at backrightup.com) that you require Okta setup.

Requirements


An existing Backrightup account
Admin access to Okta

Supported Features


Service Provider (SP)-Initiated Authentication (SSO) Flow - This authentication flow occurs when the user attempts to log in to the application from Backrightup.

Configuration steps


Login to your Backrightup account and click on the "Settings" link:



On the left-hand menu, click on "Okta Settings"
In a new browser tab, login to Okta with an Okta admin account
Click Admin, and then Applications
Click "Browse App Catalog."



Search for "Backrightup"



Click on "Add integration"



In the Application label field, enter a name for the integration and click "Done"
